Large Area LED Flood Light

A large area led flood light is an energy-efficient LED fixture that sends a wide beam of light over a yard, parking lot or other outdoor space. These lights use up to 85% less energy than traditional halogen bulbs and last far longer. They also come in several different brightness options and offer smart features, making them a good choice for homes and businesses alike. They can be hardwired or plugged into an outlet for quick installation. Some models also feature motion sensors, making them suitable for security lighting. They can even be mounted on a pole for more permanent installations in areas that need heavy-duty illumination, such as industrial spaces or sports fields.

When selecting a large area led flood light, consider the amount of illumination you need for your outdoor space and how often it will be used. The brightness of a floodlight is measured in lumens, with options for residential use typically ranging from 500 to 4,000 lumens. If you want to increase your security while lowering your electric bill, consider choosing a model with a higher lumen count.

Some large area led flood lights also function as motion sensors, turning on when they detect movement nearby. This can be especially useful for preventing unauthorized entry to your home or business, and it can help you cut down on energy usage by keeping the lights off when nobody is around. For more convenience, look for a model with remote operation via an app or smart home device and scheduling capabilities. Other models may include advanced features like video, two-way audio, and the ability to change the light color.

Large area led flood light are available in a variety of power sources, including corded electric and solar. Corded models are best for areas where you can run a wire to an outlet, such as on a patio or porch. For areas where this isn't possible, consider a battery or solar-powered model. This option can be more expensive than a corded floodlight, but it is a great alternative when hardwiring isn't an option. Many of these models will work for up to 24 hours per charge, providing plenty of light for your property at nighttime.

Another great option for an outdoor floodlight is one that includes a built-in solar panel. The Lithonia Lighting Dual-Head LED Solar-Powered Floodlight is an excellent example of this type of product. This model comes with two bright LED panels, accurate motion detection, and a convenient plug-in design that lets you plug it into an outlet for fast, easy installation. It can also be permanently hardwired if you prefer.

Alternatively, you can opt for a smart bulb that will turn your existing floodlight into an intelligent fixture. The GE CYNC Smart Bulb is an excellent choice, as it fits into most existing fixtures and can be synced to your phone in minutes. During our testing, we found that it was easy to sync and control the brightness, color, and schedule through the GE CYNC app. This bulb is also durable, with a waterproof design that can be cleaned with a garden hose or gentle setting on a pressure washer.
